Trust in the LORD and do good; Dwell in the land and cultivate faithfulness. Psalm 37:3

Over the last couple of years I have come to recognize that there aren't many people out there that you can trust. Even at times your closest friends deceive you and hang you on a cross like Jesus. That is the sad reality of this world. Sadder still is when persons state their allegiance to God and walk with darkness each day. Such hypocrisy has existed since the beginning of time. Man has often used God to carry out the works of the devil, using fancy words crafted from scripture to deceive and use the innocent.

Those who seek to mislead are soon exposed by God, as they cannot hide their deception forever. God makes it clear that we have to trust in him. Even when all seems lost, God never leaves us. I am example of that. I have gone through many trials and tribulation, but God has always rescued me. Though at times I have wondered why I had to suffer so much in my trials, I have come to understand that everything happens for a reason. God is teaching me in each lesson of this life.

Psalm 56:11 teaches us this important lesson, "in God I have put my trust, I shall not be afraid. What can man do to me?" Who shall we be afraid of if God is with us? Its clear that we have no one to fear once God is with us. So why do we walk with fear everyday? Is it that we don't trust God? It seems clear that fear is from the enemy, and when we surrender to it, we have surrendered to the enemy. At times I have been guilty of that, allowing fear to capture me and trap me in its web. Its when I break free of this fear that God causes major changes in my life. Fear eats away at us daily in all the things that we do, even the simplest of things in this life. Matthew 10:28, tells us "Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell."

You see man can destroy our earthly body, but not the spiritual body. Even when he has trampled us, our spiritual soul is intact. Our fear should be centered around the enemy, who is willing to deceive us and cast us into hell. If we trust in those who are of the enemy, then there is only one result. We cannot allow their false doctrines to devour us. They will come with beautiful words, but their actions tell the true story. If we are children of God, then he will protect us. However, many lose hope so quickly. When the smallest challenge appears they allow fear to take over, trust evaporates and soon stress appears. If only we could always see good in the bad that happens to us, and stop allowing the enemy to dictate what joy is. He cloaks our eyes so we cannot see true happiness. He deceives us with things which are not of God, convincing us that our actions are genuine and blessed. We have to start trusting God today, and each day we add to that trust until the enemy is swept away.

My lessons in this life have been harsh at times, but I am changing my outlook daily. I am trusting in God from whence cometh my strength. God is showing me through his words those who are not of him. My eyes have been opened and there is no looking back.
