With less than eleven days before the start of the World Cup in South Africa, I will begin my assessment of the teams. I should have done so a couple months ago, but I realized it would have been difficult. Its hard to assess a team when you have no idea of the players that will make it on the different squads.
For example, no one thought that David Beckham or Ronaldinho would be left out of their squads due to injury and other reasons. Now that the teams are apparent, it is time to analyze them without bias. Frankly I have no favorite team in mind as yet, as I believe this World Cup will be one of the most competitive in years.
