The memories that burn inside,
sear the mind,
recalling the times adrift now in a sea of tears,

Oh how the memories will rage on,
of periods when the heart skipped beats,
and sadness danced upon the faces brow,
when the eyes stared to the sky,
wondering where the sun didst hide,

Love had gripped the life source,
emotions blazed,
like fiery bushes,
the lips caressed each word released,

When faith broke through sin,
and God's word dwelt deep within,
the sacrifice of his Son,
hung cruelly on a cross,
a banner worn on the breastplate of hope,

The journey of forsaken years,
left sorrow where joy once lived,
draining the river of its stream,
robbing the meadow of its grace,
those memories are no more,
all that parades now is today.......
