"BUT IN VAIN DO THEY WORSHIP ME, TEACHING AS DOCTRINES THE PRECEPTS OF MEN.'" Matthew 15:9

There are many people worshiping today based on the doctrines of men. Caught in the shadow of the dark one, they profess to be of God, while teach falsehood, leading the lost to hell. Colossians 2:22 warns us about this, "These are all destined to perish with use, because they are based on human commands and teachings." Mankind cannot take the place of God in anything.

Man is called to worship God at all times. God has been so good to us that we must worship him. We should worship him in the good times and in the bad times. No where are we called to worship man or his doctrines. We cannot serve two masters, either we worship God or no one else.

Some people who profess to be Christians pretend to worship God but by their works they are defined. They are only sayers but not doers. I was once at that place saying nice things, but my worship to God was a shamble. In the end, we cannot hide from Almighty God. If we decide not to worship God the way he has commanded us to, then how can we expect to go to heaven. We need to recognize that our worship here on earth is preparing us for our worship in heaven.

When we worship God, our minds should be clear, focusing only on God. Often times when we go to God, our minds are racing with the troubles of the world, so we are not in sync with God. God expects us to lay everything at his feet in worship, and to trust him to work all things out. If we think that we can solve our problems by ourselves, we are very wrong. True worship with God will bring us closer to his true will for us.

I am learning daily that I need to spend more time in worship to God. I need to blot out the words of man, and do God's will. It's never easy, but that is what God requires of us. Man's teachings and doctrines will only lead us in one direction, away from God. We have two roads to choose when it comes on to God, which one will we take? The question is there for all of us...
