She carried me in pain, and nursed me with joy, a mother is like no other. The bible teaches us that we should honor our mother and father so our days will be long. Often times people take their parents for granted, forgetting the struggles and the sacrifices that they have endured so that their child could be who they are. 


The mother has always been the tower of strength in the family. For me its frightening when I hear some of the things that are happening in this world regarding mother's. Some countries are allowing two men to adopt children and all that non-sense. It makes you wonder if these folks ever had the touch of a mother. A mother knows her child like no other, its as though there is a connection implanted by God. The child just has to utter one word and she understands. She is always there to dry the sad tears and to encourage with kind words. When father is caught up in providing for the family, she take on the role of both mother and father.


In our culture these days when fathers are missing, she stands strong against the world to make us better. A mother is a perfect gift from God. She ensures the survival of humanity, even when she is taken for granted. Without her in the family there is no family, even when man tries to say otherwise. She never ceases to give her all, even when she's beaten down by hypocrisy and abuse, she holds her head high, knowing that she has her children to feed.


In life we should honor her daily, she is worth a right or left arm. She is a beauty in God's eyes, a comfort for her child and rare jewel in the hand. A mother is like no other, no common words can speak of her glory, she is the moon that the brighten the skies on a gloomy night..
