Ashani Walker


Led my the Ashani Walker, JC captured the 2010 Manning Cup with a 3-0 whipping of Waterford. All the talk of the match being highly competitive did not materialise as JC dominated from start to finish. Playing without two of their top midfielders JC used their familiar passing game to demolarise Waterford. Waterford's star player Andre McFarlane was given little room to dribble and this in effect stopped any creative plays from Waterford.


JC will now focus on the Walker Cup final on Wednesday, where they will face Bridgeport. JC will go into the match as favorites, but that match will not be easy. Bridgeport has never beaten JC, and they will be looking to do so this time. However, JC has beaten Bridgeport twice this season and they will be highly motivated to win another Cup. JC will welcome back top midfielder, Greensword, who will add more push. His spot may not be automatic as Campbell, who was Greensword replacement in the final put in an excellent performance in that game. JC captain Walker will be expected to bring his usual flair for this game.
